About the Developer Portal

The Developer Portal is the resource developers use to create, manage, and publish their apps for the BigCommerce App Marketplace. Once your app is approved, you can either sell it to BigCommerce merchants or make it installable for free.

To get started with developing BigCommerce apps, you will first need to create a Developer Portal account. You will use your Developer Portal account to register and submit your app for review. You will also need to start a free store trial to test your app.

For information on app development, see Introduction to Building Apps.

For instructions on how to use the Developer Portal to create an app, see Managing Apps in the Developer Portal.
