B2B Edition Super Admins are specialized storefront user accounts with permissions to access and manage one or more Companies in BigCommerce B2B Edition. Super Admins can configure company settings, assign users, and serve as main contacts for B2B operations across their assigned Companies. Their access to Company Buyer Portal accounts differs from standard users and Sales Reps, who manage Companies from the control panel.

The Super Admin API includes endpoints to create, update, assign, and retrieve Super Admin users, as well as manage their relationships with Companies and BigCommerce sales channels. These endpoints are intended for automating Super Admin account management, keeping user and company data in sync, and enforcing B2B access controls and hierarchies.

NOTE When a Company is part of an Account Hierarchy (see Company API Specification), Super Admins must be explicitly assigned to each Company they need to manage within the hierarchy.
