Braintree transaction history now reports unsettled refund fallbacks as voids
BigCommerce is rolling out a fix so that when a full refund can’t be processed against an unsettled Braintree transaction, the order’s transaction history reports the resulting void instead of a refund.
- Matches what Braintree actually did — Braintree can’t refund a transaction that hasn’t settled yet, so it voids the original transaction instead. The order’s transaction history now reflects that void rather than reporting it as a refund.
- Scoped to full refunds on unsettled transactions — partial refunds and refunds of settled transactions are unaffected.
You may notice this change in transaction history for a small number of affected orders over the coming weeks as this rolls out.

GraphQL Schema Updates
Storefront GraphQL order details now expose a download page URL on physical line items that bundle a downloadable digital product, so headless storefronts can show shoppers where to get their files without inspecting child line items.
Storefront GraphQL
- Download page URL on physical line items: the
OrderPhysicalLineItemtype adds a nullabledownloadPageUrlstring. It returns the URL of the order’s downloads page when the physical item bundles a digital child product with downloadable files and the order’s digital products are available for download. Otherwise it returnsnull. This brings physical line items in line withOrderDigitalLineItem, which already exposesdownloadPageUrl, and matches the download link the hosted storefront shows on the order details page for bundled products.
For example queries, see the Orders guide. For schema details, see the field in the Storefront GraphQL API reference. The links open the response tree at the shipping consignment line items; the same field appears under pickups:
Pattern swatch images no longer fail silently on save
We are beginning to roll out a fix for the Products > Option Sets page in the control panel. You may notice changes in this area over the coming weeks.
When you save an option with more than 20 new pattern images, the control panel now stops the save and shows an error. Before, the save reported success and the swatches after the 20th had no image.
- Error message lists each pattern swatch that has no image.
- Limit is 20 new pattern images in one save. Add the other images in a later save.
- Existing swatches that already have an image are not affected.
