# Search

The initial integration we've built into Google's [Vertex AI Search for retail](https://cloud.google.com/solutions/retail-product-discovery) focuses on the [product recommendations functionality](https://cloud.google.com/retail/docs/features#recommendations).

We have not focused on building the capabilities that unlock the search functionality.
We don't support Google's search functionality in our GraphQL Storefront API and send only a subset of the product catalog data, which limits the utility of this [search functionality](https://cloud.google.com/retail/docs/features#search).

In the future, we will  consider improving the integration to better unlock this search functionality.
